A Scenic and Relaxed River Float
The adventure began at the Lazy River’s end point, where friendly staff greeted us and explained the activity. Once we were ready, we got on a small pickup truck that took us to the starting point—a short, 5-minute drive. From there, we hopped onto our rafts, ready to drift down the river.

The float lasted about 40 minutes and was very calm, with the gentle river allowing us to relax fully and enjoy the view. Lush, green trees lined the riverbanks, and there was a natural waterfall along the way, adding a beautiful, peaceful touch to the journey. The sound of the water flowing around us made the atmosphere feel even more serene.

A Minor Discomfort: Passing a Chicken Coop
One small issue we experienced was a chicken coop along the riverbank. As we floated past it, there was a noticeable smell that interrupted the peacefulness for a few moments. However, the smell was brief, and it quickly faded as we floated farther down the river. This was a minor downside, but it’s worth mentioning for those sensitive to smells.

Friendly Service and Helpful Facilities
One of the best things about Lazy River Penarungan is the helpful staff and the convenience of its facilities. The entrance fee of 100K IDR includes everything you need: a raft, helmet, and life jacket. They also provide lockers to keep your belongings safe, clean changing rooms, and toilets for use before and after the ride.

The owner and staff were friendly and even added some humor to the experience, making us feel welcome and comfortable. After the float, you can also grab some snacks or local food at a small snack bar they have on-site—perfect if you need a little energy boost.

Final Thoughts—A Peaceful and Unique River Activity
Lazy River Penarungan is a wonderful choice if you’re looking for a relaxing way to enjoy Bali’s natural beauty. While the brief smell from the chicken coop was a minor negative point, the beautiful surroundings, calm atmosphere, and friendly staff made it an enjoyable experience overall. We gave it a rating of 4 out of 5 stars, slightly lower than its 4.5-star rating on Google, mainly because of that small downside.
