The warung offers a large selection of Javanese dishes, which made us curious to try them. But after tasting a few, we were let down. The food didn’t taste fresh, and some vegetables were mushy, as if they had been reheated. While the prices here are very low, the quality of the food just wasn’t good enough. If you’re looking for a cheap meal, you might not mind, but we think there are better local foods to try in Canggu.
